BELLE OF THE BALL

Legend has it there is always a reason why souls meet. Maybe they found each other for reasons that weren’t so different after all.  They were two souls searching and found a home lost in each other. When souls find comfort in one another separation is not possible. The reasons they are brought together are no accident……..

Maybe she needed someone to show her how to live and he needed someone to show him how to love.

ELEPHANTASIA COUTURE

ELEPHANTASIA COUTURE

high fashion headdress designerI was asked by the oh so talented Nune Hov of http://mxnfashionhouse.blogspot.com to collaborate for Vancouver Fashion Week 2015

Well how could one say “NO” They don’t!!!!!!! I absolutely was flattered and got right away to making these one of a kind Elephant Tusk to go with MXN’s Teardrop Beaded Gown.

So why do this? Why focus all out energy on this particular cause?

It is so sad to say but around 96 African elephants are killed EVERY DAY for their ivory tusks.

Straight from the horses mouth here is a paragraph from Gabby herself.

“According to the DC-based Stimson Center, ~60,000 African elephants and ~1,650 African rhinos [both species] were poached in 2012 and 2013. In just Kenya alone, the number of black rhinos fell from ~20,000 in the 1970s to ~650 today.”

Just a little light to shine while you are out and about today. Remember to think of all you fellow creatures while you shop around for all that fashion and sparkle.

Theses designs were made to commemorate the elephants lost due to poaching. The dress will be donated to the Gabby Wild Life foundation, where it will be auctioned off to raise money to Save the Elephants.

Keep It Up!

Keep it up!!!!!!!!!

It is so important to Keep It Up through all of the ups and downs of your growing business. You may find yourself running into the same problems and falling just short of your goals.  So How do we get passed this? Make a timeless business  grow?

We all get caught up with life and distractions we can’t control. Loose focus and forget we are running a business sometimes. So this is the first thing I have found to be helpful to slowly eliminate any distractions that may be getting in the way.

Set up a time to work on the computer at least three times a week for 2 hrs (this is just the beginning so if you can handle more do it).  Go to a local coffee shop, put on your favorite calming music, or just sit in a comfy spot and find that awesome work space in your head. You can use this time to research new project, write a blog, and watch business tutorials or take classes even.  No FB, Instagram or any social media of any kind. This should not be a “time-out” but a fun productive distraction from the distractions.

Another wonderful step to grow your timeless business is to start signing up for any and all business tutorials that relate to your personal interest.  I was hesitant of this at first but than started watching and realized how much valuable information you can pull from each class. It has helped me really start connecting with my customers on another level.  Here is a link to wonderful start up class  https://richmombusiness.com/video/handmade-1

I will leave you with this last note……….. Always believe in what your doing. The power of positive thought will make your business, your life, and relationships so much more full. There is always doubt and sometimes faliure but you have the strength to pull though and to learn from each experience. Stay positive and you will succeed in all your magical, sparkly, wonderfulness that you are.

Why Cruelty Free Is Important

cruelty free feathers headdress

Why I use cruelty-free feathers in my feather fascinators, headdresses and jewelry…

cruelty-free-hair-accessories

“Cruelty-free product” is generally understood within the animal rights movement as a product that has not been tested on animals. This is the same for my product… When I purchase a cruelty free product, I make sure the fur, bones, skull, etc, is not hunted or harmed to acquire the product.

Regalia gets most cruelty free product from ranches in the Midwest from people who help injured and old animals and let them live the rest of their lives in peace and happiness.

Sara and Boomer are one of my favorite cruelty free shops on Etsy – here is their link for cruelty free feathers.
