This the season to wear flowers in your hair. Pinks, purples, blues and greens as well as a whole prism of beautiful colors to choose from.

Besides being sweet smelling and eye catching, flowers offer us their healing powers as well.

Here is a list of my personal favorite flowers and their healing powers:

  • Lilac has the power to provide a calming effect that eases anxiety.
  • Orchids flower essence greatly enhances ones sensuality and divine pro-creative forces.
  • Rose cradles and nourishes the heart.
  • Plumeria increases self awareness and inner peace while reviving the spirit.
  • Hydrangea have been used in the treatment of urinary tract infections.
  • Passion Flower induces sleep and calms the nerves.

These are just a few but you get the idea.

Please share some of your favorite flowers and their healing powers?

Official Welcome to my Blog

Welcome to my blog……….

My name is Nicole Carter and I am the owner/designer of Regalia Designs. I began this business a few years ago after getting married and moving to Seattle.

When I was looking for a wedding fascinator, I could not find one that fit my personality and dress. So I made my own, and then I got to thinking “I could do this for anyone who needed it.”

Than I discussed it with my hubby, closest friends, and people I admire. They were SO supportive of my idea then & now, that now I cannot imagine doing anything else.

I started making little fascinators, hair clips, bobby pins (pretty much whatever will go in your hair)… out of our one-bedroom apartment in Seattle. It was such tiny little spot to spread everything out — on top of having a one year old husky who just loved to play with all my feathers and jewels!

When I felt that my hair pieces were pretty enough for people to purchase, I put on my rain coat and walked from store to store being turned down. I needed a website, business cards, boxes, and a name for my business. I thought I would just be able to make pretty things and that would be it! OH NO, was I mistaken! It was, and continues to be, a lot of hard work, creatively and business-wise.

Now years later, I work consistently with a group of talented models, makeup artists, and photographers. I’ve got my first fashion show under my belt to show for all of the hard work and enduring commitment to my craft.

If you ever feel like you may not be able to succeed, please remember that although it IS a lot of hard work, anything is possible if you really believe in what you are creating. Good luck on your creative journey and may there be a great deal of magic in your life.
